Autobiography by: Nadine Dawn Bellaart

 

 

Born August 02, 1959 to Rose and Walter Wesko, in the City of Lethbridge

Taken just after I was born.

My mom, Rose Colley, was born to Helen and Antony. Rose now resides on a tree farm a few kilometers east of Leduc Alberta with her husband, Art Colley.
 

 

My Grandmother.

My Grandfather.

Pictured on the left is my Grandmother Helen, born 1910 in the Ukraine.  My Grandmother came to Canada in the early 1900's after her parents died during the first world war. Grandma met my late grandfather Antony, pictured on the right, in British Columbia. Antony Shlemko (born in 1895 in Sniatyn, Galicia, died at the age of 71 in 1966. Antony came to Fernie British Columbia in 1910 with his father. A few years later his father returned to his native land and Antony left for Detroit. There he worked for three years before returning to Natal. After their marriage they lived in the twin (now ghost) mining towns of Michel-Natal near Sparwood British Columbia. After Antony's passing, Grandma moved to Edmonton to be closer to her family.

My older brother Terry, born October 16 1952, resides in Edmonton with his wife Moureen and their son Jessey Lee.
 

 

My sister Karen, now deceased, was born February 08 1958 and is survived by her husband Pat, of Edmonton. They were married on August 02, 1975. Karen was killed in a car accident several weeks later on September the 18th.
